Pick a business model
It is ever so easy to get caught up in the latest and greatest fad or craze or “must do” that we end up scattered and discombobolated, and get nothing done.
There are plenty of folks who have put together classes…good ones too! AND you need to get really clear on
- what you are good at
- the goals you have
- how much money you have, or don’t have, to hire some help getting things done
- how good you are at techie stuff
- whether you’re willing to wait until you’ve assembled all the bits and pieces you’ll need
- what YOUR perfect clients want and need
So, for example, let’s say you really love to write and the latest thing you read says you absolutely must use video or you’ll be left behind. That’s great and video is wonderful.
AND, it takes a lot of different skills to do it…and it takes storage and and and.
Do you wait until you get the perfect video? How long will that be? Or do you start where you are now and build up?
Believe me, did the research and learn and futz and fiddle for a long time. Now I’ve built up a lot of skills and the bank account suffered while I did so.
If you write well, start there.
If you love to talk and find it easy to do, grab the phone and do teleseminars or record your message.
There is no ONE right way (you don’t want to know how it took for me to move from text-based stuff to add what others called “simple” graphics!).
To your success and with great admiration for your courage.
